This study is a prospective multi-centered investigation that will validate the ultimate patient-reported outcome instrument, the Patient Generated Index which describes the effect of a medical condition on aspects of patients’ lives that are of greatest importance to them, allows the patient to rate the extent to which those aspects of life are affected by the condition and is sensitive to changes in health over time and allows patients to rate the importance of those changes. In addition, risk aversion and decision regret in a cohort of operative AIS patients and their parents will be assessed.
Transverse Project Trajectory Technique: A Novel Corridor for Thoracic Pedicle Screw Placement

The goal of this study is to assess the accuracy and efficiency of screw placement compared to the free-hand technique in an assessment by CT scan of 6 cadavers amongst three surgeons of varying levels of experience. Torsional strength and axial pullout will also be compared between Transverse process and Freehand techniques.
